It was in 1992, 40 years after the language movement of 1952 that EK nirjhar planned on an exhibition. The basic idea was to juxtapose the 40 letters of the Bengali Alphabet (which can be the initial letters of words) with photographs and rhymes. The ultimate result was a photographic tale expressing our debt to the alphabet embellished with rhymes that should appeal to both the conscious and subconscious layers of our mind. The vowels and consonants of the Bengali Alphabet were serially arranged with Rhymes starting with each letter and depicting the underlying meaning of the Photographs.
